FAQ

How long is the camp day?

The camp day begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m.

Do you provide lunch?

Campers bring their lunch from home 4 days a week. On Wednesdays, we provide a delicious cookout for the entire camp. Each day, we offer a beverage at lunch (white milk, chocolate milk, and water) and a refreshing afternoon snack of ice cream or popsicles.  For our youngest campers, we provide a morning break with juice and a snack.

Is Camp nut free?

Camp Playland of Redding is an allergy aware facility. Although we are not nut free, we provide every camp family with our food allergy policy and ask that families adhere to the policy to make Camp a safe environment for all children.

How do I communicate with the camp?

At Camp Playland we want your child and you to have a great summer. We encourage you to call us if you have any questions or concerns. Our office number is 203-438-1711.  Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. your call will be answered by our office manager.  At other times, your call will be answered by a camp director or will be picked up by our answering machine. We will return your call promptly. If your communication is not time sensitive, you may email us at campplayland@snet.net.

How are children placed in groups?

Children are grouped based on the school grade they are entering at the end of camp.  You may request a friend who you would like your child to be grouped with.

Is there a visiting day for parents?

Parents, grandparents and others are always welcome to visit Camp Playland.  Due to a shortage of parking, we do not have a formal visiting day and invite you to visit Camp at a time that is convenient for you and your child.
