Color War is week 5 this summer (July 24-28). We are excited for friendly competition, ALL camp events, Counselor Games, Find the Monkey and More!
As part of the fun we offer campers face paint each morning. If your child has allergies or sensitive skin, please consider checking the face paint ingredients shown below.
On Friday we will be having a COLOR WAR RUN as part of our Closing Ceremonies! We will dissolve colored powder in water to spray on campers during the run. Our powders come from Color Blaze and are made with high quality cornstarch and food dyes. All materials are 100% FD&C grade and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for use in food, drugs, and cosmetics. Colors include Blue #1, Red #40, Yellow #5, and Yellow #6.
Color should wash out of clothing. Be sure to wash items separately on a cold setting with detergent and stain removers like Oxiclean.
If, on the other hand, you would like to preserve the color in your T-shirt here are some tips and tricks from trainfora5k.com: 1) Soak your shirt in vinegar. 2) Turn the shirt inside out and iron it. 3) Dry the shirt in the dryer. 4) Wash the shirt on a cold cycle with mild detergent.
Call the office at 203-438-1711 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you have concerns about your camper using face paint or participating in the Color Run. Thank you!
